Freshman English

Welcome to Freshman English!  We will study short stories, poems, plays, and novels, including Romeo and Juliet and The Odyssey.  We will complete weekly vocabulary lessons, and we will devote a portion of this school year to the study of English grammar.  You can expect to do a lot of writing this year.  All of this work will help you prepare for the very important English II End-of-Year test you will be taking at the end of your sophomore year.

To be successful in this class you need to remember three simple rules:  be prepared, be respectful and be productive.  Please see the Freshman Syllabus for more specific information.  (You can find one on the EnglishSyllabi webpage.)

NOTE: All students are required to have a three-ring binder with five dividers and looseleaf paper.
