CURRENT SITUATION AND CONTACT INFORMATION

As far as the current 2019-2020 School Year: 

ALL BAND ACTIVITES ARE CANCELLED

“BAND APP”

From this point on, we will be passing information as well as Extra Credit Activities out through the

“Band APP” that we have been using all year.  Below are links for each of those

Bands so you may subscribe if you have not done so to this point:

HORN PICKUP AND RETURN:

At this time any school instruments, mouthpieces, or other equipment that students have at home is to be returned to the school ASAP.  The Middle School and High School will have monitors out from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Instruments and/or equipment are to be dropped off on the benches outside Middle School or High School during those times MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.  Please make sure that you have removed all personal property from the cases.  Anything left in cases will be thrown away other than needed equipment (mouthpieces, necks, ligatures, etc.).

FUNDRAISER:

The tentative plan for the Fundraiser is for the product to be delivered to the Band Hall and most likely will then have to sit there until this situation has passed.  Not only is the passing out of fundraiser product an issue, but even more so is that we don’t want parents or students trying to deliver at this time.  In any case, this is not yet the final decision, but it is where we are at until further notice.  When a decision is made, it will be posted on Band App – MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON IT!

PERSONAL HORNS AND PROPERTY FROM BAND HALL

At this time there is no system in place to return personal horns and other items left in the Band Hall.  We are looking at a couple of options.  As soon as we have a way to safely get those returned, we will do so.  Again, this information will be posted on Band App when it is decided – MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON IT!

BAND CAMP

We have cancelled everything currently scheduled for this year.  We do still have tentative dates set for the High School Band’s Band Camps.  July 16th and 17th is set for our “Kick Start” Camp, and July 27th through the 31st for “Band Camp”.  The tenative times are set for 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day for both camps.

INSTRUMENT CHECKOUT

Lastly, I know that many of you are already anxious about returning school instruments and not having one for an extended amount of time.  Currently we are trying to get all the instruments collected ASAP so that we can send them off to be repaird and cleaned.  As soon as this situation passes and we are able to meet again, I will schedule a date that Middle School and High School students can come check out your horns.
