ART SHOW IS COMING SOON 

Nov. 18th – Nov. 21”, 2019 

Dear Parents and Students: 

It is time for the 25th Annual Art Show. The date chosen is November 18th through November 11th. The following is the schedule for this event:

Art Work due: November 11th by 3:00. Judging – Monday morning November 18th Viewing of Art – Tuesday November 19th, Wednesday November 20th, Thursday November 21* 

Family Night November 20th 4:00 to 6:00 Projects will be ready to be picked up or returned Thursday Afternoon November 21, 2019. 

Students are welcome to work on your project at home. It needs to be handed into the teachers to be tagged. Any work not meeting requirements will not be judged. Entries must be in by 3:00 P.M. Monday Noy, 11th 2019. This will give us time to put the work in the category it belongs. Parents must not help the student. It must be their own work. No kits except in leather work. No colored markers. No mimeographed copies.

     ANTLERS ALL SCHOOL ART SHOW

Is November 18th – 21st 2019 ROCK BRANTLY BUILDING 

Age/grade division:(1-2)(3-5)(6-8)(9-12) Pre-k and kindergarten will enter the show but not to compete. 

Entries should be turned into the students’ teacher. 

8½ x11 & 11x17 white paper is available for drawings and paintings. 9x12 & 12x18 black paper will be furnished for mounting drawings and paintings. 

All artwork must have a “Native American Theme.” Artwork that does not have a Native American (Indian) theme will not be accepted. Entries will be judged for Authenticity. 

Entry deadline will be 

November 11th, 2019 at 3:00 Kits are not allowed except in leather goods. Colored Markers are nor allowed. De not use mimorrupheil coples. Students must do their own artwork. Parents must not do it for them. 

ALL STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE 

CATEGORIES 

Students may enter only one entry  ONLY Drawings; * Graphite, Ink, colored pencil, pastel, oll pnutcl, charcoal pencil, per or clayton. 

**Pre-k thru 5 no paper larger than 12x18. 

Paintings; 

  • Oil/ Acrylic, tempera, oll/Acrylic enamel, gouache, caxeln, watercolor, Opaque 

Watòrcolor **Pre-k thru 5 no paper larger than 12x18. 

Multimedia; * The vic of different including such a watercolors, crayan, pencil, etc. In the game 

Composition. ** Pre-k thru SnO paper larger than 12x18. 

Collage! All art form in which objects such as bits of paper, cloth, pregged flowers, etc. Are 

Pasted together on A Burlacu dan incongruous relationship for their symbolic effect. **Pre-k thru 5 110 paper larger than 12x18. 

Ceramic: 

  • Clay that is built, cost, slipped or thrown, then fred. (Must be hand built. Not purchased green ware.) 

Pottery: 

Pota, bowla, made of clay or carthenwarc, by hand and let dry or harden. (Must be hand-hullt or thrown On wheel not purchased green ware) * The art of carving wood, chiseling stone, casting or welding mctal, shaping modeling clay, soap, naper etc. 

Into statues or figures. 

Sculpture; 

Graphics: 

“Lithograplı, engraving, etching, mono-print, woodcut, linocut, or computer print. 

Weaving: 

  • Interlace threads, strands, or strips of any medium. 

Basket: 

  • Reed, cale, honeysuckle, bamboo, or other traditional basket material. 

Traditional: 

  • Beadwork, quill work, drumy, shielda, munk, reglan, sand art, ctc. 

Jewelry: 

  • Rcaded, paper, metal, stolic, ceramic, Icather, 

Pactry: 

  • Poems, short stories – must l4YC A Native Amarican be your own work 

Do not copy from books or other forms of literature, 

Diorama: 

NA 3-Dementonal affect Native American Scene (village, hunting ground ctc.) 

Dream Catcher: * (No Kit) Natural material preferred. 

Leather Goods: * (Kits are allowed for this category) you must have* Native Amarican design. 

Dwellines: 

  • Log Cabins, Wicket-ups, Teepees, Grags huts, Hogang, etc. (Must have your own work)

WELCOME BACK! It is time to prepare for the 25th annual All School Art Show. Please encourage your students to enter. Mrs. Martin, Mrs. Conley and Mr. Caldwell have copies of the rules, 

The students do not have to be in Art Class to enter. The entry must have a Native American theme. We also have computer art listed under Graphics. We encourage Computer classes to have some entries in our show. 

The Art Show will be November 18” through November 21st, 2019. Entries will be due no later than 3:00 P.M. Monday November 11th. This will give us time to get the entries placed in the right category and set up. Projects will be ready to be picked up or returned Thursday afternoon November the 21” 

Family night will be Wednesday night November 20, 2019, 4:00 p.m, until 6:00 p.m, The Show will be in Brantly, the Rock Elementary Building. Please bring your entries there as a class. I will be there to accept them. You have two months to prepare a project. I hope to see you there.
