August 2026 - Welcome Back to a New School Year

On behalf of Antlers Public Schools, the board of education, faculty, and staff, I am

honored to welcome everyone back to the start of the 2026-27 school year. Despite the hot

weather, several students, parents, and community members attended the back to school

activities on July 31st. A big thank you goes out to all of the different organizations that

participated in the elementary carnival and donated to the sixth grade and freshmen

orientations. Antlers Public School is extremely blessed to have the community support and

community partnerships that it has.

The large rains we received this summer did result in flooding in some of the buildings.

The staff worked hard to have the buildings in the best shape possible prior to the start of

school. Additionally, an air quality test was conducted to make sure the air quality in the building

was appropriate for school. At this time, we are working with several contractors to repair

issues with the buildings.

The start of school also means the start of extracurricular activities. Please attend one

of these activities from fast pitch softball and football to band, choir, and livestock showing to

name a few. Your support at these activities is greatly appreciated!

Finally, with school starting back, you will encounter more students walking to school,

student drivers on the streets, and school buses running routes daily. Thank you to the City of

Antlers for installing new caution lights and signage around the school at various locations.

Please help keep everyone safe this school year by being cautious and watching out for our

students and buses.

Thanks for helping Antlers Public Schools have a great start to the school year!

It’s a great day to be a Bearcat!
