With nine years of teaching experience, including five years in the first grade classroom, Mrs. Nancy Bleau brings a passion for learning and a love for her students to Antlers Elementary. She spent five years teaching in Texas before making the move to Oklahoma.
About three years ago, Mrs. Nancy Bleau and her husband, Jason, moved from Texas to Antlers. From the beginning, the Antlers community welcomed them with open arms. They quickly fell in love with the town's hometown atmosphere and the way the community comes together to support one another. After hearing so many wonderful things about Antlers Elementary and the strong partnership between the school and community, Mrs. Bleau knew she wanted to become more involved in the community where she lives and spends most of her time.
Outside of school, Mrs. Nancy Bleau enjoys spending time with her husband and their two crazy pugs. She loves gardening and is especially passionate about growing vegetables, unique flowers, and native plants. When she isn't in the garden, she enjoys sewing and getting lost in a really good book.
Mrs. Bleau chose first grade because she believes it is such a fun and exciting year for students. First graders come to school eager to learn, and this is the year when many students truly begin to discover the joy of reading. She loves watching students become excited about books and seeing their confidence grow as they learn to read.
Mrs. Nancy Bleau graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. In 2025, she earned her Master's degree in Science Curriculum and Instruction from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She is currently certified in both Texas and Oklahoma with an Early Childhood teaching certificate covering Pre-K through 3rd grade.
Mrs. Bleau is excited to continue growing as an educator and to be part of the Antlers Elementary family and the community that welcomed her home.
