Our fall sports are staying busy! Junior High softball is winding down its season, while 6th grade softball has officially wrapped up. We are proud of our girls and coaches for all the work they put in this season.
Junior High football kicks off its season this evening with our first home game. High School football also got underway last week, so football season is officially in full swing at Antlers!
Elementary basketball begins next Monday with a home Blue and White game. We are excited to see another group of our younger Bearcats get their season started.
Our teachers have been busy completing ELA and Math benchmark testing with our students. This gives us valuable information on where our students are academically and helps our teachers plan instruction and support for the weeks ahead.
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held September 18th. We look forward to visiting with our families about their students' progress and continuing to work together to help our kids be successful.
Our new Horticulture class is off to a great start! The greenhouse is officially operational, and our students have already begun growing vegetables. It has been exciting to see this new program get up and running and give our students another hands-on learning opportunity.
Student Council elections have also been held. We were especially excited to have more than 10 sixth grade students step up and run for office. We are proud of all of our students who were willing to put themselves out there and take on a leadership role at AMS.
Our 8th grade FFA students are gearing up to begin their annual Blue & Gold Sausage fundraiser.
A big thank you to the Bearcat PTO for providing popcorn for our students and teachers. It was a fun treat, and everyone loved it!
Homecoming is just a couple of weeks away, and we are looking forward to all of the activities and Bearcat spirit that come along with it. It is always a fun time for our students, staff, and community!
